BCI has enjoyed outstanding national and international recognition in recent years. In 2022 the Bank’s activity continued to earn several distinctions from the public and various independent national and international entities of recognised merit. Amongst the distinctions awarded to BCI last year, a total of 16 awards deserve special mention:
“Best Commercial Bank – Mozambique” and “Best Private Bank – Mozambique”, by the US World Economic Magazine; “Best Bank – Mozambique 2022”, “Best Banking Digital Transformation – Mozambique 2022” and “Best Environmental & Social Performance // Mozambique 2022”, awarded to BCI by the International Investor Awards; “Best SME Bank in Mozambique 2022”, by Global Finance; and “Best Commercial Bank – Mozambique 2022”, awarded by the Global Economic Awards.
BCI was awarded the maximum level award (“Diamond Arrow”) in the categories of “Corporate Banking”, “Credit Cards”, “Personal Banking”, “Most Reliable Companies/ Institutions in Mozambique”; and “Companies/ Institutions that conduct their business in the most ethical manner in Mozambique”, awarded by PMR Africa, while Corporate Banking was awarded for its excellent performance, in the “Market Leadership” category by Euromoney Magazine. The latter entity also distinguished BCI for its contribution in terms of “Social Responsibility”, and for the recognition of the best “Digital Solutions”, and the Bank also received, from the Mozambique Stock Exchange, the title of “Bank with the Largest Trading Volume on the Stock Exchange Market”.
These awards represent international recognition of BCI’s performance in the Mozambican market, where, in recent years, it has assumed a major role in the provision of banking services.
