Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI) was recently honoured by Global Brands Magazine, a prestigious brand research and publishing company based in London, with two important awards: ‘Leading Commercial Bank’ and ‘Excellence in Corporate Banking’.
According to a statement from the institution, Global Brands Magazine’s rigorous evaluation process highlighted several aspects that decisively contributed to these distinctions. The ‘Excellence in Corporate Banking’ award recognises the outstanding role of BCI’s Corporate Centres, which offer a personalised service to large entities and multinationals in Mozambique.
The bank offers a range of specialised products and services to support the development, expansion and internationalisation of these companies.
With a presence in Maputo, Beira, Nampula and Pemba, the institution provides ongoing support with the aim of strengthening investment in the Mozambican economy and promoting the country’s sustainable socio-economic development.
In the ‘Leading Commercial Bank’ award, the publication considered the fact that BCI is a benchmark in the Mozambican financial system, currently leading in the main indicators, namely Assets, Deposits and Credit. With the largest number of business units and a vast ATM and POS network, BCI is responsible for the largest commercial banking network in the country.
The awards were given in recognition of the bank’s dedication to its customers, consistently anticipating their needs and providing innovative, efficient and transparent banking products and services, based on high ethical standards and integrity.
