Access Bank Mozambique Announces Launch of 2024 Graduate Programme

Access Bank Mozambique announced this Monday, February 26, the launch of the fourth edition of its Graduate Programme. Aimed at attracting the best recent graduates, the initiative offers a unique opportunity for young professionals to start a promising career in the banking industry.

According to a statement from the banking institution, this year the programme aims to select 20 recent graduates to take part in a journey of learning and growth, which includes a stint at the prestigious School of Banking Excellence in Nigeria. “Applications are now open and can be submitted until 15 March,” reads the statement.

Candidates will go through a rigorous selection process, including an exam in English consisting of psychotechnical, theoretical and practical tests. Those selected will then have the opportunity to embark on a six-month stay in Nigeria, where they will be immersed in comprehensive and practical training in the banking sector, the institution’s document details.

“Last year, the bank welcomed nine employees who returned from the programme, all of them with enriching experiences to share. Currently, 14 more employees are completing the programme in Nigeria and are due to return in the second half of April,” the statement said.

Marco Abalroado, managing director of Access Bank Mozambique, said that “this programme is open to all recent graduates who are proactive and have the ambition to pursue a successful career in the banking sector. We invite you to take advantage of this unique opportunity to mould a solid future and learn about the best practices in the financial market”.

Ruby Monteiro, one of the group of recent graduates who left for Nigeria in 2023, says that “taking part in the Access Bank graduate programme was a life-changing experience. This adventure allowed me to acquire fundamental knowledge for my career in the banking sector,” he said, adding that “the six months in Nigeria gave me a unique insight into the workings of the financial industry, preparing me for the challenges and opportunities I will face in the banking sector in Mozambique.”

“Those interested in applying for this year’s Graduate Programme should send their application to hrrecruitment.moz@accessbankplc.com. They can also visit the bank’s social networks for updates and news about the Programme,” explains the institution.
