USAID Deputy Administrator Coleman Heads to Mozambique

From January 25-30, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman will travel to Maputo and the central and northern regions of Mozambique to advance the U.S. government’s work to safeguard democratic principles, foster resilient communities, strengthen adaptive agricultural development, and promote long-term stability in Mozambique.

While in Mozambique, the Deputy Administrator will meet with officials from the Government of Mozambique as well as regional and local government representatives.

The Deputy Administrator will visit USAID partners in Gorongosa National Park, a UN-Habitat project focused on resilient reconstruction, Feed the Future efforts to increase food security, and coastal communities to see USAID’s investments in resiliency and adaptation in vulnerable communities. Deputy Administrator Coleman will also meet with local civil society organizations and business associations to discuss the future of stable, democratic governance and economic development in Mozambique.
