The United States Ambassador to the United Nations is visiting Mozambique this week with the aim of establishing and strengthening existing partnerships between the two countries. During her visit, Linda Thomas-Greenfield will welcome Mozambique for its first term as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
Also on the US ambassador’s agenda is a meeting with students, members of civil society and actors involved in climate change adaptation measures in the country for inclusion in exchange programmes.
During her five-day visit to Africa, Thomas-Greenfield will also visit Ghana and Kenya, with a view to strengthening cooperation with current and former members of the UN Security Council.
