A few days ago, Tmcel-Mozambique Telecom, SA, signed a contract with the Bank of Mozambique (BM) for the installation of a Fibre Optic Link with a capacity of 40 GB.
of 40 GB from Maputo to Xai-Xai.
This signing is the result of an operator selection process for the provision of high speed service to support the redundancy of the Central Bank operations based in the Xai-Xai branch.
For Tmcel, this act represents a great symbolism for the company and a vote of confidence in it by the country’s Central Bank, given that the Link in question is of extreme importance for that entity.
It should be noted that the service quality level agreement (SLA) is agreed at 99.9% availability.
According to Tmcel’s PCA, “in this context, and given the nature and bandwidth of this Link, an increased responsibility is required to provide a highly reliable, quality
of high reliability, quality and excellence, a desideratum that will only be achieved through the commitment of all company employees, especially the commercial and operations areas, in order to strengthen the strategic positioning of Tmcel in the market,” said Mahomed Rafique.
