On Tuesday, 19 December, the government made a total of 8 million meticais available for the implementation of youth initiatives in five districts of Tete province, central Mozambique.
According to the Secretary of State for Tete, Elisa Zacarias, quoted by Rádio Moçambique, the funds will be used to finance income generation projects and promote youth participation in the country’s development by creating job opportunities.
“A total of 52 projects were selected from more than 80 submitted by young people from five districts – Tsangano, Changara, Zumbo, Mágoe and Chifunde,” she said.
