The National Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction (INGD) in Nampula has allocated 100 tonnes of rice and other goods to reduce the vulnerability of victims of tropical cyclone Dikeledi in the province.
The Provincial Delegate of the National Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction in Nampula, Anacleta Botão, said that as well as food products, the institution also has a range of relief and rescue equipment.
Anacleta Botão said that the INGD, together with its partners, is still on the ground monitoring the damage caused by Dikeledi, especially in the districts of Mossuril, Ilha de Moçambique, Monapo, Mogincual, Liúpo, Angoche and Larde, which are considered to be the worst hit by the phenomenon.
