Mozambique and Japan intend to train Mozambican micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with the aim of increasing their competitiveness on the international market.
This is part of the second phase of the Technical Cooperation Project for the Development of Local Industry, launched today in Maputo.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Jorge Jairoce, said at the event that the initiative will cover some companies in the provinces of Maputo and Manica in this second phase.
The Technical Cooperation Project for the Development of Local Industry is funded by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency,
The cooperation initiative will also develop the country’s industrial sector, as explained by JICA’s resident representative in Mozambique, Otsuka Kazuki.
The implementation of the Technical Cooperation Project for the Development of Local Industry includes an exchange between micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Mozambique and Japan.
