The Mozambican President, Filipe Nyusi, received a congratulatory message from his counterpart from the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, on the occasion of his sixty-fifth birthday, which is being celebrated today.
In the message, the Chinese President emphasised that under President Nyusi’s leadership, Mozambican President’s socio-economic development has improved and international and regional affluence has continued to grow.
“Your birthday this year coincides with the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon in China. In Chinese culture, the dragon symbolises good fortune, progress and prosperity. I wish Your Excellency to lead Mozambique to greater success in building the country in the new year,” said the Chinese President.
Also in the same letter, President Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the development of relations between Mozambican and China, and is willing to do his utmost to increase these relations for the good of both peoples.
“I am willing to make efforts with Your Excellency to strengthen the traditional friendship, to support each other mutually and firmly, to expand pragmatic cooperation in all sectors, and to continuously promote further progress in the China-Mozambique Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Partnership,” the Chinese statesman emphasised
