The Mayor of Maputo wants to see the city’s beaches increasingly organised and equipped to host sports and recreational activities, based on the principles of environmental protection.
To this end, Eneas Comiche launched the Capital’s Beach Organisation Programme this Saturday, as part of the remodelling of spaces for the development of multiple-use activities in coastal areas.
Eneas Comiche demanded that beach managers make rational use of the spaces.
According to the Municipal Council, the Maputo City Beach Organisation Programme will end in the first half of next year.
The Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Isabel Macie, said that the spaces will be concessioned to organisations that will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the beaches.
Also this Saturday, the Mayor of Maputo, Eneas Comiche, launched the “Txuna Maputo com Verde” initiative, which aims to plant trees along the ring road.
