The Irish Embassy in Mozambique, led by Patrick Empey, reaffirmed this Monday, November 28, the commitment to continue consolidating the cooperation relations, aiming at the integrated development of Inhambane province.
According to the Irish ambassador, the Irish government has supported some programmes in the areas of education, sanitation, water, institutional capacity, infrastructures, health and agriculture.
Speaking during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the signature of the memorandum of understanding between the Irish Embassy and the Government of Inhambane, Patrick Empey revealed that, in order to ensure the execution of all the projects, about 38 million euros were made available.
In his turn, the governor of Inhambane province, Daniel Chapo, highlighted the impact of the projects under implementation, stating that they contribute to the socio-economic development of the province in particular, and of the country in general.
