“This fund will support the development of culture, with concrete actions and the involvement of artists as entrepreneurs,” said the EU ambassador to Mozambique, Antonino Maggiore.
Called “Cultiv’arte”, the initiative aims to strengthen the skills of people working in the cultural field, as well as boosting the projects of some entrepreneurs.
“We believe that the ideas that artists share are important for the country’s development, and our goal is to help artists export their products to other markets,” he emphasised.
The project, to be carried out at national level, will be implemented over a period of four years by the government in coordination with the Expertise France agency, the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Centre and ideialab.
