“By supporting the Golf Club of Beira City, we believe that we are contributing to the promotion of sports in Mozambique and the massification of golf in particular, since this sport is still little explored in our country. Thus, we reinforce our commitment to this sporting event since its first edition and guarantee a quality tournament for athletes and the public present,” said the general manager of Vodacom, Simon Karikari.
On his turn, Joel Rodrigues, CEO of Nedbank Mozambique, said that the bank he presides “was born with ambition and commitment to make a difference in the market and in the country, contributing in a relevant way to add value to the lives of all our stakeholders. This partnership shows our strong commitment to golf, a very versatile sport for different generations and without concern for age or physical condition. With this tournament, we intend to provide a healthy way to do physical activity and, at the same time, have fun. Walking around the course outdoors provides health benefits, including exercise for the mind and body”. Note that in addition to golf, Vodacom supports the seven national soccer teams
