Universidade Licungo (UniLicungo) recently held its graduation ceremony for the courses in Agriculture, Business Management, Law, and Sociology, in an event that highlighted the importance of ethics, innovation, and resilience in shaping the professional future of young Mozambicans.
According to a press release, during the ceremony, businessman Salimo Abdula, patron of the Salimo Abdula Foundation (FSA) and godfather of the graduates, urged students to be true agents of change and to put the knowledge they acquired to the service of their communities.
“I see in each of your faces the energy and desire to contribute to development. With the tools you have gained throughout your academic training, you are the agents of change. The challenges are enormous, but the willpower and the skills imparted to you by your teachers are the driving force that will allow you to fight for your dreams and achieve them.”
On this occasion, the Salimo Abdula Foundation recognized the academic merit of the graduates by awarding the top students in Agriculture, Business Management, Law, and Sociology. Through this action, the Foundation “reaffirms its commitment to promoting education, supporting young talent, and contributing to the formation of leaders committed to the country’s development.”
Meanwhile, Vodacom M-Pesa reinforced its mission to build bridges between academic knowledge and the professional market. The company offered the top student in the Business Management course a 12-month paid internship, allowing her to apply her knowledge and develop practical skills. In addition, the company gave mobile phones to the students who stood out the most during their studies.
The administration of Universidade Licungo congratulated the new generation of graduates and thanked the Salimo Abdula Foundation and Vodacom M-Pesa for all the support provided to the students.
