The handover was attended by senior leadership, including both incoming and outgoing Task Force Brigade Group Commanders, Police Component Commanders, National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) Coordinators, and other key staff officers.
Maj Gen Ruvusha arrived in Mozambique on 20 August 2024 and underwent a comprehensive briefing, followed by a familiarization tour of the RSF’s area of responsibility. The tour covered significant locations, including Mocimboa da Praia, Chinda, Palma, Afungi, Pundanhar, Macomia, Ancuabe, and Pemba, all vital to the RSF’s operations in the region.
During the ceremony, Maj Gen Ruvusha expressed gratitude to his predecessor for his dedicated leadership and acknowledged the impressive efforts of the outgoing commander in ensuring the RSF’s successful execution of its duties in the area.
