African Union Donates US$150,000 to Aid Displaced People in Cabo Delgado

The African Union (AU) will donate US$150,000 to assist displaced victims of terrorism in Cabo Delgado, a statement said.

To this end, an African Union mission, headed by the Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, has been visiting Mozambique since Tuesday to assess the humanitarian situation in the country.

 During its stay in Mozambique, the commission will be received in audience by the ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, National Defence, Interior, the President of the National Institute of Disaster Risk Management and the representatives of the SADC Mission in Mozambique.
