Zambézia province collected eleven billion meticais in revenue from the export of various products in the first quarter of this year, head of the Commerce Department at the Provincial Directorate of Industry and Commerce, Anastácio Fernando, has told Radio Mozambique.
Shrimp, corn, soybeans, macadamia nuts, heavy sands and raw cooking oil top the export rankings, contributing most to the revenue volume.
By the end of the year, Zambézia expects to have earned 17 billion meticais in exports.
Anastácio Fernando urges companies and farmers to increase exports, so as to stimulate the economy.
