More than 13,000 workers in the Hotel, Tourism and Similar Industry were hired last year in the country following the end of the covid-19 pandemic.
Some workers had been made redundant due to the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
The secretary-general of the National Union of Workers in the Hotel, Tourism and Similar Industry, Luís Macuácua, said that the hirings were the result of negotiations between union bodies and employers.
Luís Macuácua, who was speaking this Friday in Beira during the seventh session of the National Trade Union Council, also highlighted the economic growth last year.
