Tete to Host Business Forum to Promote Investment

The city of Tete will host, on May 13, the Provincial Business Forum (FEPOTE-2026), an initiative aimed at strengthening the link between the private sector and available financing and investment opportunities in the market, according to the newspaper Notícias.

Organised by the Provincial Business Council (CEP), the event is expected to bring together around 200 participants, including domestic entrepreneurs and business representatives from hinterland countries, as well as government officials, in a forum focused on improving the business environment in the province.

According to the organisers, the forum aims to stimulate dialogue among different economic stakeholders, with a focus on identifying solutions for business development and promoting strategic partnerships.

Key topics on the agenda include the business development plan, the business environment and industrialisation, financing and investment, as well as the analysis of opportunities in key sectors of the local economy.

The event takes place at a time when Tete is seeking to consolidate its position as an investment hub, leveraging its natural resource potential and geostrategic location, which facilitates economic integration with neighbouring countries. Organisers expect the forum to help boost the local business landscape by improving access to financing and encouraging initiatives that can drive sustainable economic growth in the province.
