Eni published on Wednesday, May 11, its 16th voluntary sustainability report, which describes the company’s contribution and goals for a just transition to share social and economic results along its path to carbon neutrality by 2050.
“As Eni, we strongly feel the responsibility to contribute to everyone having access to energy, to support the development of the countries where we are present and to contribute to the achievement of the highest ambitions of the Paris Agreement. This commitment is stronger today, in light of the war in Ukraine, at a historic moment when it is necessary to be even more inclusive and non-divisive, seeking the common good and increasing efforts to ensure Europe’s energy security and accelerate the decarbonization process,” said Claudio Descalzi, Eni’s Managing Director.
These messages are covered in detail in the report, which is complemented by the volumes ‘Eni for 2021: Carbon Neutrality by 2050’, focused on the company’s strategies and key climate targets, and ‘Eni for 2021: Sustainability Performance’, which presents an overview of its environmental, social and governance indicators.
