Private Sector Welcomes Government’s Decision to Extend 28 Visa Waivers

The private sector reacts with satisfaction to the Government’s decision to extend visa exemption for entry to 28 more countries. According to CTA, the measure will contribute to the dynamisation of investment and tourism.

On the other hand, considering that the measure will increase the influx of tourists to the country, CTA admits that the measure also brings challenges. According to the Chairman of the CTA’s Tourism Department, Muhammad Abdullah, such challenges are mainly located in the pertinence of a better organization and professionalization of the sector so that it is possible to offer a quality and competitive tourist experience, something that requires continuity of coordinated multi-sector actions, since the quality of tourism depends not only on the tour operators, but also on other actors.
