The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, will travel to Brussels next week to open the international forum Renewables Mozambique (RENMOZ) in Europe, an initiative aimed at mobilizing European investment for the development of Mozambique’s energy sector and presenting concrete financing opportunities for energy projects.
According to an official statement, the event will take place on March 17 and 18 and is expected to gather around 150 participants, including investors, financial institutions, technology companies, and representatives of the European energy sector interested in generation, transmission, and off-grid solutions projects in Mozambique.

The meeting will also feature participation from various international companies involved in engineering, energy technology, and infrastructure, including EDF International Networks, Siemens Energy, Source Energia, MCA Group, JCM Power, Gridworks, Confidere Sweden, ARC Power, ABB Kabeldon, Quadrante Engenharia, Hitachi Energy, Miranda & Associados, and Multiconsult.

According to the organizers, the forum aims to present a structured portfolio of energy projects in Mozambique, allowing investors to assess business opportunities across the entire value chain of the sector. The initiative also seeks to bring European technology, financing, and expertise closer to the country’s investment needs, enhancing the quality of procurement processes, promoting business partnerships, and accelerating the development of clean energy infrastructure.
RENMOZ in Europe is organized by the Lusophone Association of Renewable Energies (ALER) and the Mozambican Association of Renewable Energies (AMER), with support from the GET.invest program and institutional backing from Mozambican public authorities. The event also receives financial contributions from the European Union, Germany, Sweden, and Belgium.
The Brussels meeting is part of the preparatory agenda “Road to RENMOZ 2026,” which will culminate in the main conference in Maputo from June 9 to 12.
