MPDC and Chrome Traders Renew Partnership for Another 20 Years

The Maputo Port Development Company (MPDC) and Chrome Traders have announced the renewal of their contract until 2043, in a significant move that underlines the long-standing trust and partnership between the two companies, the news portal Further Africa reported on Monday 6 May, citing a statement.

According to the agency, this extension is an important milestone in the two companies’ decade-long collaboration characterised by mutual respect and a commitment to excellence in the trade of chrome through the Port of Maputo.

‘Over the last ten years, Chrome Traders has played a key role in the chromium trade, exporting six million tonnes and making a substantial contribution to the region’s economic development. This remarkable achievement is testimony to the strength of their partnership and their shared commitment to excellence.’

The document explains that the contract renewal not only solidifies the partnership, but also demonstrates the shared dedication to sustainable growth and success. ‘This development is expected to have a positive impact on the regional economy, as it will allow for the continued growth and development of chrome trading through the Port of Maputo,’ the press release explains, emphasising that ‘the renewal is a significant development for both parties, as it will allow them to continue their fruitful collaboration and reach new milestones together. It also demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and the commitment to overcome challenges together.’
