Mozambique Exhibits Its Tourism Potential and Investment Areas at Lisbon Tourism Fair

The country is participating in the Lisbon Tourism Fair in Portugal, where it is exhibiting its tourism potential and sharing existing investment opportunities in this sector.

The preparation and organisation of this fair, which ends this Tuesday, 22 March, is in charge of the National Tourism Institute (INATUR), in coordination with the Mozambican Federation of Tourism and Hotels (FEMOTUR) and the Mozambican embassy in Portugal.

During the event, a business forum will be held in the city of Porto, which, in coordination with the Mozambican embassy and consulate in Porto, will be attended by potential investors and major players in the tourism market interested in investing in leisure tourism.

“For professionals linked to the sector it is an opportunity to meet professional buyers, as well as learn about the competition, analyse market trends and position the offer in an innovative and competitive way. For the public, it is a way of getting to know new destinations, solutions and buying at highly competitive prices,” cites Notícias.

The Lisbon Tourism Fair is held annually and dedicates the first three days to professionals and the next two days to the general public. This year it has five pavilions, including national, associations and municipalities, culture and gastronomy, accommodation, equipment and services for hotels. It also includes a pavilion for international destinations, tourist entertainment and transport, giving impetus to the employability exchange and the Hosted Buyers lounge.

According to the “Jornal Notícias” publication, this diversity of offers aims essentially at fostering new contacts and promoting the best businesses. On the other hand, it seeks to ensure the presence of high-level professionals with decision-making power in the various sectors represented at the fair.

“The event is full of challenges and proposals, dedicated to professionals linked to the tourism sector, professional buyers, the media and the general public where it offers the opportunity to meet, to know and analyse market trends, in order to position oneself either in terms of supply as in the purchase of various products and services exhibited in a more efficient and secure way”, he concluded.
