The Mozambique Chamber of Commerce (CCM) and the Mozambique-United States Chamber of Commerce (CCMUSA) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the business sector and economic co-operation between the two countries. The information is contained in a press release consulted by DE, issued as part of the presentation of CCMUSA’s new board of directors on Tuesday (24).
The newly elected president of CCMUSA, Onório Manuel, emphasised CCM’s role as a key partner in achieving sustainable development for both chambers. ‘CCM, due to its vast experience and strength in the business sector, will be essential in supporting our joint initiatives,’ he said, emphasising the importance of this partnership.
Mr Manuel also said that the two chambers should work together to promote new investment opportunities and improve the business environment. ‘We hope that this synergy will bring direct benefits to entrepreneurs in Mozambique and the United States, promoting growth in both markets,’ he added.
Álvaro Massingue, president of CCM, emphasised the need to join forces to support the business communities. ‘We need to work together to ensure greater involvement in the productive sector, maximising the impact of our actions,’ said Massingue, defending a joint commitment to the economic future of both countries.
In addition, Massingue emphasised the importance of defending policies that support the training of young professionals to respond to market needs. ‘It’s crucial that the two chambers advocate for training geared to the demands of the market, ensuring that young people have the necessary skills.’
Finally, the CCM leader emphasised the need to sensitise entrepreneurs to joining the chambers of commerce. ‘CCM and CCMUSA must continue to promote the importance of chambers as platforms for access to information and business networks,’ he concluded, emphasising the importance of working together.
