In the Chiúta district of Tete, the mapping of mineral deposits available to attract new international investors will be completed by the end of this year.
At the moment, the feasibility study for the exploitation of iron and steel in the village of Muchina in the administrative post of Cazula has been completed, and investors are waiting to come.
The Chiúta administrator explained that, as the district is on a steel corridor, with access to the Republic of Zambia, it is strategic for attracting new national and international investors.
As well as being covered by the Mpanda Nkwa dam construction project, the Chiúta district will also have an iron and steel production plant and a photovoltaic power station.
