Gaza province, in southern Mozambique, will soon begin prospecting for minerals.
The highlights are zircon, uranium and gold, whose research will determine the existing quantities and ascertain their commercial value, with a view to their exploitation and export.
The prospecting activities will be carried out by technicians from the Chinese Institute of Geological Research and Investigation in Jiangxi, according to the vice-chancellor, who met with the Gaza delegation on Thursday.
According to Rádio Moçambique, the delegation from Gaza is visiting the Chinese region as part of the twinning programme between the two provinces.
