The preliminary results of the prospection and research of heavy sands, in the Chongoene district, in Gaza, will be known by the end of this year.
The prospecting and research of heavy sands in that locality is in course for about three years, involving two national companies in the administrative post of Madzucane, in the locality of Nhancutse.
“The process is at an advanced stage and there are strong indications of the occurrence of minerals with high commercial value,” said the Chongoene district administrator, Artur Macamo.
Macamo also said that the district expected good results from the research, which could galvanise the socio-economic development of that region of Gaza province.
