Maputo is set to host, from June 9 to 10, the 2nd Mozambique–European Union (EU) Business Forum and, on June 11 and 12, the 5th Renewable Energy Business Conference (RENMOZ 2026). The two events aim to boost investment, strengthen economic partnerships, and promote the country’s energy transition.
The initiatives are organised by the Mozambican Government, the EU Delegation in Mozambique, and the Mozambican Renewable Energy Association. Both gatherings are part of the EU’s Global Gateway strategy and are primarily focused on promoting sustainable economic growth and reinforcing long-term partnerships with the country.
The Mozambique–EU Business Forum will highlight investment opportunities in sectors considered strategic for Mozambique’s development, including energy transition, agribusiness, connectivity, digital transformation, and tourism.
RENMOZ 2026 will focus specifically on renewable energy and the role of the private sector in expanding access to sustainable energy in Mozambique.
The events are expected to bring together government leaders, Mozambican and European business executives, investors, financial institutions, and organisations supporting the business sector. They are also expected to serve as a platform for establishing new commercial partnerships and identifying financing opportunities.
Ahead of the events, a joint press conference will be held on May 25 to officially announce both initiatives.
