Rwanda Expresses Interest in Using Port of Nacala to Export Goods

Rwanda has expressed interest in using the Port of Nacala, in Nampula, to export and import various goods, as a way to facilitate the flow of its products.

“If we consider that Rwanda has Tanzania and Kenya as ports of exit and entry of its goods, why not add Mozambique to its alternatives for import and export? Let this projection come true, because we would be giving more capacity to our Port of Nacala to serve the interland countries”, said Amade Miquidade quoted by Radio Mozambique.

The High-Commissioner of Mozambique in Rwanda, Amade Miquidade, said that if the projection of the use of Nacala Port materializes, it will be an asset for the country.

The High-Commissioner of Mozambique in Rwanda noted that the materialization of this claim was scheduled for July, but for various reasons it was postponed to October this year.
