Nacala Logistics and the public company Aeroportos de Moçambique (ADM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday (22) for the rehabilitation and modernization of Nampula International Airport.

The agreement, initially valid for two years with the possibility of renewal, includes interventions in several areas, including the rehabilitation of restrooms, perimeter security fencing, and painting and maintenance of infrastructure.
During the ceremony, Nacala Logistics Chief Operating Officer (COO), B. P. Awasthi, said the partnership represents an important step in strengthening the national airport infrastructure. “Nacala Logistics has a role that goes beyond logistics. This partnership will contribute to the modernization of Nampula Airport, and its implementation will be immediate,” he said.
Meanwhile, Saíde Júnior, ADM Administrator for Administration and Finance, highlighted the significance of the agreement, emphasizing that the continuous improvement of airport infrastructure is essential to ensure international standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Considered one of the main airports in northern Mozambique, Nampula International Airport will thus benefit from more modern operating conditions and greater passenger comfort, in an intervention that strengthens institutional cooperation between the two entities.
