Nacala Logistics announced that it transported, during the 3rd quarter of the current year, a total of 62,574 people in its passenger trains, 8,085 more compared to the previous quarter. This is an increase of around 14% compared to the second quarter of 2021.
“The results were influenced by the easing of restrictive measures, and the gradual recovery of economic activity, especially in the Nacala Corridor,” reads the statement released by the company.
According to the same document, Nacala Logistics also revealed that it has introduced electronic tickets for the passenger transport service, a measure which is part of the modernization project for the passenger management system, aiming at ensuring greater operational efficiency in its routes: Nampula – Cuamba; Cuamba – Lichinga; and Cuamba – Entre Lagos.
Nacala Logistics is responsible for the management and operation of the rail-port system and represents the companies
