Mozambique and Eswatini Assess Cooperation on Sharing Umbeluzi River Basins

Mozambique and the Kingdom of Eswatini assess the level of cooperation on sharing river basins.

The Minister of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, Carlos Mesquita, will pay a working visit to the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Mesquita and his counterpart from Eswatini will review the updated agreement for sharing the Umbeluzi river.

The two countries aim to mobilise funds to make water infrastructure resilient, given the threats posed by climate change.

Mozambique and the Eswatini Kingdom share three river basins, namely Umbeluzi, Incomati and Maputo.
