Traffic reopened this Tuesday on national road number 380, on the Macomia/Awasse section, three days after it was interrupted due to the collapse of an aqueduct over the Napakala River, on the road that connects the northern, central and southern regions of Cabo Delgado.
In an interview with Rádio Moçambique on Wednesday morning, the provincial delegate of ANE (National Roads Administration), Jorge Govanhica, said that traffic had been reopened for all types of vehicles, so there are no restrictions.
The ANE delegate in Cabo Delgado is urging motorists to drive with caution, as he said that despite the reopening of traffic, additional work is still being carried out at the site where the aqueduct collapsed.
The infrastructure, destroyed by the fury of the waters last Saturday, was built in nineteen seventy-two, so more than fifty years ago.
