The Angónia district, in Tete province, will soon have a vegetable oil refinery industry with a capacity of 50 thousand litres per year.
It is the “People’s Choice”, a processing industry of maize flour and chicken ration, implanted in the municipal village Ulónguè, under the scope of a public-private partnership.
At the moment it is producing bagasse for animals and extracting soy oil, which is exported for refining.
The director for Economic Activities in Angónia, Job Pita, explained that contacts are being made for the establishment of a refinery unit at that point in Tete province.
