Government Provides $1.9M to Make Aquaculture Projects More Effective

About 1.9 million dollars is the amount to be disbursed this year for the viability of sustainable aquaculture projects in the country.

The amount will be applied to the productivity component of small-scale aquaculture and management of institutional development projects and policies.

Ivone Lichucha, technician from the Ministry of the Sea, Internal Waters, and Fisheries, explained that eligible entrepreneurs will contribute 6% of the amount.

“In the first production cycle they will be supplied with fingerlings, feed, and inputs so that the producers can start their production activities,” she said.
