The government will launch in the next few days, according to Radio Mozambique, an international tender to hire a company in charge of inspecting the quality of imported products in Mozambique.
The aim is to combat the import of products without quality and or pirated, according to the Director General of the National Institute for Standardization and Quality, Geraldo Albazine.
“The entity must have the ability to act in the various points where our importers act, because the conformity assessment is not to be done within the Country. It must be done outside the Country, in the places where they are purchased, to prevent these products from reaching the points of entry without complying with the requirements established in the legislation,” he said.
