A total of 64 Brazilian companies exported products to Mozambique in 2025, according to data presented by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) at the Brazil-Mozambique Business Meeting, held on the sidelines of the 61st edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM 2026).
The figures were disclosed by ApexBrasil president Laudemir Müller during the business forum, which brought together representatives from both countries at the International Exhibition and Trade Centre in Ricatla, in the district of Marracuene, Maputo province.
The numbers reflect Brazil’s footprint in the Mozambican market and come amid a broader push to strengthen commercial and investment ties between the two countries. The meeting forms part of the official FACIM 2026 programme, which entered its second day of activities on Tuesday.
The 61st edition of the Maputo International Fair runs from 31 August to 6 September, bringing together companies, investors, public institutions, and business delegations from approximately 30 countries.
According to data from the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX), this year’s fair features 3,150 exhibitors — 2,500 domestic and 650 foreign — and is expected to attract around 55,000 visitors over the seven-day event.
The fair is being held under the theme “Digital and Energy Transformation Towards a Sustainable Economy”, with a focus on sectors including energy, infrastructure, agro-industry, logistics, tourism, financial services, and digital technologies.
Organisers have set a target of at least US$7.5 billion in business deals and export transactions, benchmarked against recent foreign trade performance and projections for growth and diversification of national output.
In 2025, Mozambique exported approximately US$7.5 billion in goods, against roughly US$7 billion in imports.
