The provincial Government of Tete made it known on Tuesday, 4 July, that over 20 million meticais are available to finance projects carried out under the “Emprega” programme.
According to the director of the Provincial Justice and Employment Services, Sérgio Matule, the amount will be allocated to the young people who present the best business proposals during the selection period.
“The selected youths will receive around 1 million meticais each and will be submitted to capacity building processes in business management and improvement of their proposals,” explained the official.
Last year, the Secretary of State for Youth and Employment, Oswaldo Petersburg, had revealed the existence of 750 million meticais to finance 500 youth projects until 2024 throughout the country.
At the time, the minister explained that the investment in professional training aimed at “providing young people with skills to respond” to what the market was looking for.
Emprega” is a Government program implemented by the Secretariat of State for Youth and Employment (SEJE) through the National Youth Institute.
