Elon Musk is no Longer the 2nd Richest Person in the World

Elon Musk has been swept from second place on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index list of the world’s richest people, making way for luxury goods trading magnate, LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault. Musk’s disgrace is accompanied by Tesla’s shares falling by 2.2%.

Arnault currently has a fortune of 131.96 billion euros, while Musk has fallen to 130.2 billion euros, according to Bloomberg news agency.

Musk’s fall is a direct, albeit volatile, consequence of the 24% tumble that Tesla’s shares have suffered from the €736.64 per share seen in January.

Tesla’s CEO is having an eventful week after his attack on Bitcoin, founded on ecological grounds, and his public appearance on ‘Saturday Nigth Live’ triggered losses of nearly €450 billion on the listed cryptocurrency chart.
