Public Companies Owe Over 140M Meticals to Águas da Região Sul

The Chief Executive Officer of Águas da Região Sul, Augusto Chipenembe, revealed on Monday, July 3, that several public institutions, located in Gaza and Inhambane provinces, owe more than 140 million meticais, a situation that puts the company in a financially sensitive situation.

According to Augusto Chipenembe, there are several projects that need to be carried out, but which due to economic constraints end up being stalled. “We would do the requalification of the water network in certain critical points of the city and the expansion areas.

Meanwhile, as a way to stimulate the payment of debts, the PCA said that permanent contacts are being made with the debtor institutions, as well as with those in charge.
