Nissan Guarantees Stability and Continuity of Operations in Mozambique

In response to recent reports regarding industrial decisions by Nissan Motor Company in South Africa, the Japanese automaker, and Motorcare Mozambique, both companies have assured that their operations in the country “remain fully operational and stable,” reaffirming their commitment to the Mozambican market.

According to a statement received by Diário Económico, Nissan and Motorcare Mozambique clarified that the reported news has no impact on local operations. The companies confirmed that all activities in Mozambique are proceeding normally, with no changes to the brand’s regular operations.

Nissan Motor Company, the Japanese multinational in the automotive sector, reiterated its commitment to Africa, and in particular to Mozambique, emphasizing that it continues to invest in the brand and its dealer network. “Sales, after-sales service, and customer support activities in Mozambique are proceeding as usual,” the company stated.

The statement also noted that vehicle availability for the Mozambican market is guaranteed under the brand’s production and supply strategy. This approach ensures continuity of supply, as well as quality and reliability standards for customers in the country.

The company further explained that this strategy is part of a global initiative to optimize the production and supply chain. This is a common practice in the international automotive industry, aimed at enhancing competitiveness, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. With this position, Nissan reaffirms its ongoing commitment to Mozambican customers. “The brand ensures trust, quality, and consistent service,” reinforcing the stability of its operations and the reliability of its presence in the national market.

In Mozambique, Nissan operates through Motorcare Mozambique, the official national representative of the brand, with a network of dealerships dedicated to sales and technical support. Present in the Mozambican market for several years, Nissan has focused on providing mobility solutions tailored to local market needs.
