TVSD has signed a three-year contract with Coral FLNG in Area 4 of the Rovuma Basin for the supply and maintenance of radio and satellite communications equipment.
According to a statement released by the company, the agreement covers the company’s operations in Maputo, Pemba (Cabo Delgado) and offshore work, reinforcing the radio communications infrastructure in strategic areas of these regions, and strengthens TVSD’s presence in the supply of telecommunications solutions for large companies and projects in the country.
Sérgio dha Costa, TVSD’s CEO, emphasises the importance of the new contract, pointing out that it is in line with the company’s strategy of participating in mega-projects: ‘This agreement follows our line of action, focused on continuous adaptation to major undertakings. One example is Vulcan, which operates the Tete coal mine, where we have been operating for more than 12 years, since the previous concession by Brazil’s Vale,’ he explains.
The manager adds that the company is already involved in several major structuring projects for the country’s development, including TotalEnergies in Cabo Delgado, and that this new contract ‘further strengthens the organisation’s role in the sector’.
Sérgio dha Costa also emphasised that this contract is also a significant milestone, especially in the context of the company’s 25th anniversary, which is being celebrated this year.
‘Our strengthening with this contract with the Coral FLNG project represents a very important step for us as a company in our 25th year. In addition, these projects are really contributing to local content and strengthening the Mozambican economic fabric by investing in entirely Mozambican organisations, such as ours,’ he stressed.
