MEREC, a food industry company operating in Mozambique, is participating in the 61st edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM 2026) as both a sponsor and exhibitor. The company’s presence at the seven-day event aims to reinforce its commitment to the development of the national industry and the promotion of locally produced goods.
During the fair, MEREC is presenting visitors, clients and partners with the full scope of its operations, ranging from the processing of raw materials and flour production to the broader transformation of food products.
The participation also provides the company with an opportunity to bring its brands closer to consumers and to strengthen relationships with various actors across the food industry value chain.
According to MEREC’s Director-General, Gilberto Cossa, cited in a statement reviewed by Diário Económico, FACIM represents an opportunity for the company to showcase its work and reaffirm its confidence in the potential of the Mozambican market.
“MEREC believes in the potential of Mozambique and remains committed to investing in industry, creating local value and making quality products available to consumers,” Cossa said.
At the company’s stand, visitors can explore a range of product categories, including flours, pasta, animal feed and other food products.
Through its participation in FACIM 2026, MEREC also seeks to reinforce its focus on innovation, quality and consumer proximity, contributing to a more competitive and sustainable national food industry.
