The National Institute for Standardization and Quality (INNOQ) revealed today (13) that intends to authenticate, this year, sixteen small and medium companies (SME) with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification. The initiative aims at improving the business environment of SMEs in the country and in the Diaspora.
Speaking during a seminar to share knowledge about the benefits of certification of companies, organised by INNOQ and the Association of Commerce, Industry and Services (ACIS), the Institute’s deputy director, Arlindo Mucone, said that quality certification will contribute to small and medium-sized enterprises being able to benefit from opportunities offered by megaprojects.
“Certification represents a great challenge for the national business fabric that intends to take advantage of the opportunities offered by mega-projects. Therefore, it will serve to help companies and give credibility to their businesses”, he added.
In his turn, the representative of the Association of Commerce, Industry and Services, Jorge Brites, said that the meeting served to guide members regarding mechanisms to access certification to develop their businesses.
ISO 9001 is a certification that defines guidelines for business quality management. It was created with the main objective of making processes more efficient, helping to guarantee the quality of the products and services that companies offer.
