As part of its advocacy activities regarding the implementation of the Conformity Assessment Program (PAC), the Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA) met with companies this Tuesday, March 19, to align subsequent actions on the subject.
According to a statement issued by the CTA, at the meeting, the participants raised questions about the operational scope of the decree, which is being practiced by INTERTEK (a British multinational guarantee, inspection, product testing and certification company), such as the differentiated treatment the company is carrying out in the various sectors.
The document explains that the companies have agreed that the private sector, in the various sectors, must be well aligned in its positioning. To this end, a study should be commissioned to provide recommendations and the best ways forward.
The results of this study should be presented at the 19th edition of CASP, to be held on May 15, 16 and 17 this year.
