Bruno Dias to be EY’s New Office Managing Partner from July

Ernst & Young (EY) Mozambique announced in a statement that Bruno Dias has been appointed to the position of Office Managing Partner (OMP) of the company, an executive leadership position that he will take on from 1 July, replacing the still OMP Paulo Reis, who is stepping down almost seven years after taking on the role.

According to the document, until then, as Deputy Office Managing Partner, the successor will work with Paulo Reis to ensure, over the coming months, a leadership transition process to renew EY’s affirmation and growth in the market.

‘For this new phase of EY’s growth, in line with our All In strategy and the objectives defined at global level, we need a differentiated focus on the market, with an innovative spirit and prepared to offer new solutions to our clients, leveraging all the potential we have in the Portuguese Cluster and in the region,’ said Miguel Farinha, Country Managing Partner (Portuguese Cluster).

He expressed his ‘confidence in the experience and innovative vision’ of Bruno Dias, stating that ‘they will contribute to EY’s continued growth and success, as Dias has led our consulting team in Mozambique since 2019, and has demonstrated the ability to succeed Paulo Reis in leading the company.’

Previously, Bruno Dias worked for other multinational consultancies, having also been part of EY’s Lisbon office and the EY EMEIA Advisory Centre, and is currently responsible for consulting services in Mozambique.

‘Mozambique has a huge growth challenge and my work at EY aims to help in this regard, working daily with clients from various sectors, creating sustainable, inclusive and value-added business models. It is therefore with great satisfaction and a sense of responsibility that I embrace the new challenge that has been proposed to me,’ said the future EY Office Managing Partner in the country.

His experience in auditing is vast, both in terms of sectors and skills. However, his CV includes projects related to strategy, digital transformation and the transformation of companies’ business models in the public, energy, health, telecommunications and financial sectors. He has worked on projects in Mozambique, Angola, Cape Verde, Egypt, Portugal, Spain, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Italy, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates.

EY provides advisory, assurance, tax and transaction services to help solve clients’ toughest challenges and build a better business world.
