Absa Bank Mozambique Named Best Employer in the Country for the Third Consecutive Year

Absa Bank Mozambique has been recognized, for the third year in a row, as the “Best Place to Work in Mozambique” under the Global Banking and Finance Awards 2025, granted by the UK-based international magazine Global Banking and Finance Review.

According to an official statement, this distinction reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to building an excellent workplace environment focused on the well-being of its employees.

Hanifa Hassangy, Human Capital Director at Absa Mozambique, said the award is a direct reflection of the organization’s philosophy.

“This award reinforces our commitment to people and to creating a professional environment that values respect, inclusion, and personal and professional fulfillment. We are a bank that continuously invests in our employee value proposition, providing benefits that go beyond the conventional,” she stated.

Among the highlighted benefits are progressive labor policies, such as vacation days exceeding the legal requirement, health insurance, psychological support, and social well-being programs. The bank has also promoted hybrid work models, offering greater balance between professional and personal life. Absa Bank Mozambique invests heavily in training and continuous development of its employees, providing programs in technical skills, behavioral competencies, and leadership.

At the same time, the bank has invested in digital innovation to strengthen collaborative culture, enhance internal communication, and facilitate team management, fostering agility and cohesion.

This award consolidates Absa’s position as a national benchmark in people management and reinforces the institution’s ambition to continue building a workplace where every employee feels valued, heard, and motivated to contribute to the country’s sustainable development.
