However, with the right attitude, a rejection can become a valuable opportunity for learning and professional development. Here are six ways to turn this experience into a boost for your career.
Requesting and carefully analyzing feedback from the interview is one of the best ways to identify areas for improvement. Self-assessment alone doesn’t always allow you to understand all the reasons why you weren’t the selected candidate.
Start by gathering as much information as possible from the recruitment consultant or, if there is no intermediary, directly from the company. If the feedback seems too generic, ask for further clarification. After all, you dedicated time and effort to the selection process and have the right to receive feedback that will help you grow for future opportunities.
